All manufacturer’s original components

All manufacturer’s original components are covered for mechanical or electrical failure. Exclusions include wear and tear items (e.g. tyres, brake pads, wiper blades), damage caused by accidents or misuse, routine maintenance and servicing, and cosmetic repairs.

Your EV Lithium Ion Battery

Your EV Lithium Ion Battery is covered separately under Nissan’s 8-year battery warranty as standard and all electric components come with a 5-year warranty.

WHAT IS SERVICE ACTIVATED WARRANTY?

WHAT IS IT?

A Service Activated Warranty adds an additional period of warranty to the standard vehicle manufacturer warranty cover, each time you complete a qualifying service at a Nissan Dealership or Nissan Authorised Repairer.

How does it work?

• To qualify for the Nissan Service Activated Warranty, the eligible EV must be serviced in line with Nissan’s recommended service schedule (timings based on model and/or mileage, consult your vehicle Service and Maintenance Booklet).
• When the time comes, you must visit a Nissan Dealership or Nissan Authorised Repairer for the service prior to your manufacturer expiry (36 months or 60,000 miles). For most drivers, this would be your third service.
• After that service is completed, your first Service Activated Warranty is activated and when your manufacturer warranty expires, you remain covered up until when your next service is due. Continue to service your EV at Nissan and get a further 12 months warranty following each service until the vehicle’s sixth anniversary (72 months) or until the EV reaches 100,000 miles, whichever is sooner.

• Every All-New Nissan MICRA, All-New Nissan LEAF and the New Nissan ARIYA (MY26 onwards) are eligible, no matter when they were purchased.

Is there an age or mileage limit?

• Every All-New Nissan MICRA, All-New Nissan LEAF and the New Nissan ARIYA (MY26 onwards) are eligible. Provided the EV has been serviced at Nissan according to the service schedule, Service Activated Warranty is available until the vehicle’s sixth anniversary (72 months) or until the EV reaches 100,000 miles, whichever is sooner.

Do I need to sign up?

• To qualify for Service Activated Warranty, you must service your Nissan EV in line with your vehicle’s Service and Maintenance Booklet. It’s usually due annually or based on a certain mileage. The final service before your manufacturer warranty expires, must be at a Nissan Dealership or Authorised Repairer. Once that service is completed, your Service Activated Warranty will be activated.

Do I need to service at a Nissan Dealership?

• Provided the vehicle has been serviced in line with the requirements, Service Activated Warranty activates on the third anniversary of registration (36 months).

Does my service history matter?

• Yes a full service history is required, which will come as standard with a Nissan service. If you purchased outside of the Nissan network, a vehicle health inspection will be required at a Nissan Dealership or Authorised Repairer before activation.

What happens if I miss a service?

• If you don’t service your vehicle on time or don’t visit a Nissan Dealership or Nissan Authorised Repairer, the warranty will lapse.

Are EV-specific components covered?

• Yes coverage includes major EV components such as the electric motor and control systems (battery coverage will remain under a separate manufacturer warranty, click here for full details).

Are parts and labour included?

• Yes, both parts and labour are included for covered repairs carried out by Nissan-trained technicians.

Is the EV battery covered under this warranty?

• The traction battery is typically covered under a separate manufacturer battery warranty, with its own terms and duration. Click here for full details.

Where can I get repairs done?

• Repairs must be completed at a Nissan Dealership or Nissan Authorised Repairer, where we will use Nissan Genuine Parts.

How long does the cover last?

• Your Service Activated Warranty renews for up to 12 months cover following each qualifying service, until the vehicle’s sixth anniversary (72 months) or the EV reaches 100,000 miles, whichever is sooner.

Can I renew it again?

• Yes each time you complete a qualifying service with Nissan, the Service Activated Warranty renews again automatically for up to 12 months, until the vehicle’s sixth anniversary (72 months) or the EV reaches 100,000 miles, whichever is sooner.

What happens if I miss a service?

Is the Service Activated Warranty transferable if I sell my car?

• Yes any remaining Service Activated Warranty transfers to the new owner, helping to maintain resale value.

How much does it cost?

• There’s no additional cost beyond your standard service your Service Activated Warranty is included when you service with Nissan, along with all the usual service benefits as part of the Nissan Customer Service Promise.

Why should I service at Nissan?

• You get Service Activated Warranty protection, renewed each time. Plus, you can be assured your EV will be seen by Nissan-trained EV technicians using Genuine Nissan Parts, and you’ll get 12 months Roadside Assistance after every service, as part of the Nissan Customer Service Promise.

What about if I purchased my Nissan EV as a Used Car?

• If you purchased a qualifying Nissan EV from a Nissan Dealership, your EV is eligible providing you visit Nissan for your future servicing. For qualifying EV’s purchased outside of the Nissan network, a vehicle health inspection will be required at a Nissan Dealership or Authorised Repairer before activation.

Do I receive confirmation of my warranty?

• Yes you’ll receive confirmation letter when you purchase an eligible EV, at the end of your manufacturer warranty and after completion of each qualifying services after that, provided you visit Nissan.

Why is this better than a traditional Nissan Extended Warranty?

• It’s simpler and more flexible—no upfront cost and it renews automatically with each service. When your EV reaches 7 years old or 100,000 miles, you may choose to extend the warranty further with a Nissan Extended Warranty.

Available on the All-New Nissan MICRA, All-New Nissan LEAF and New Nissan Ariya (MY26) only. Excludes non-UK, non-EEA or Switzerland specification vehicles.

Nissan 3 year/60,000 miles manufacturer warranty applies to all Nissan passenger vehicles as standard. Electric vehicle battery coverage and EV components warranty are subject to separate manufacturer warranty terms.

To qualify for the Nissan Service Activated Warranty, the eligible EV must be serviced in line with Nissan’s recommended service schedule (timings based on model and/or mileage, consult your vehicle Service and Maintenance Booklet) during the manufacturer warranty period.

Provided the vehicle has been serviced in line with these requirements, the scheduled service prior to the manufacturer expiry date must then be completed at a Nissan Dealership or Authorised Repairer. Service Activated Warranty will then commence. Cover is then provided for up to 12 months following each qualifying service until the vehicle’s sixth anniversary (72 months) or until the EV reaches 100,000 miles, whichever is sooner.

Service Activated Warranty is transferable to subsequent owners, subject to ongoing eligibility. For qualifying EV’s purchased outside of the Nissan network, a vehicle health inspection will be required before activation. If a scheduled service is missed or carried out outside the Nissan network, cover will lapse.

Electric vehicle battery coverage is subject to separate manufacturer battery warranty terms. Cover excludes routine servicing, normal wear and team items and damage caused by accidents, misuse, neglect or external influences.
